Lagos state pushes for indigenous fashion development

Chief and CEO (President) of Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture (LCAC), Idowu Johnson, has pushed a re-visitation of the roots when native style was focused on consideration in the design business.

Johnson expressed this, at the end of the week, when he drove the administration of LCAC to take part in the second Ile Ka'aro Ojiire Fashion Week 2022 Partner's gathering held at the bouquet hall, June 12 cultural center, Kuto, Abeokuta.

He said that the style week would likewise act as a pathfinder to advance the design business, abilities procurement and strengthening for productive work.

The Facilitator of the occasion, Adewale Atepe, said that the design week is a festival of the Yoruba style culture.

"Anything society exuded from the South-West. This implies that we should rise up to take our legitimate position with regards to native style being important for our way of life.
